The new edition of this wide-ranging book on the technology and applications of computers includes four new appendices which demonstrate the features and functions of MS-DOS, WordPerfect 5.X, Lotus 1-2-3 2.2 and dBASE III Plus. Another new appendix addresses the ways in which microcomputers can be used. Further, it splits the coverage of I/O and data storage into separate chapters, eliminates the history chapter replacing it with a pictorial overview in an appendix, and adds two chapters on personal computer and microsoftware.
