This workbook is part of a set of resources designed for adult learners who need or expect to use English in their professional careers. It is aimed especially at false beginners who want to communicate in English. The course, which includes a variety of teaching approaches, emphasizes structural, functional, situational, communicative and humanistic elements at different times, since no one method can provide all the answers to any given teaching situation. The different activities are set in realistic professional contexts and allow a degree of learner autonomy so that the materials can be moulded to the individual students' situations.
