Intended to bridge the gap between theory and practice, Structural Steel Design: A Practice Oriented Approach provides the essentials of individual component design while at the same time showing how these components are put together to form an entire building. Just like in real practice! This “holistic approach” is essential for any practicing engineer or any student looking to work in this field. Key features of this extraordinary text include:
Abi Aghayere, Ph.D., PE is a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and co-author of two other textbooks in the field of structural engineering. He is the winner of RIT’s Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching, 2004-05, and a 2003 Best Paper Award from the American Society for Engineering Education. He has over twenty years experience in the analysis and design of a wide variety of building structures in Canada and the United States.
Jason Vigil, PE is a structural engineering consultant in Rochester, NY and is an adjunct professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also the co-author of Structural Wood Design: A Practice Oriented Approach.
