For undergraduate courses in Typography, Typographic Design, Publication Design, and Desktop Publishing in design curricula.
TypeSense makes understanding type easier by taking readers from the broadest decisions, made first in a document or design, to the detailed decisions, made later in the design’s development.
Susan G. Wheeler's enduring fascination with typefaces-the beautiful shapes, diverse styles, and the typographic artwork created from them is something she enjoys sharing with others. Working with type, however, can be daunting for beginning design and typography students or new publication design students. All the details, rules, stylistic variations, and interrelationships feel overwhelming at first. After realizing there were no texts at the intermediate level on the market that addressed the issue as comprehensively as she wanted (history, typesetting, typography design, and publication design) and presented typographic documents and designs from the initial research through to their conclusion. Typesense fills the need for such a text.
