Intended for physical chemists, biophysicists, colloid and materials scientists, engineers and graduate students in polymer physics and colloid science, this revised second edition covers the basic principles and practice of laser light scattering. It includes elements of light scattering theory needed to formulate the fundamental equations in optical, mixing/photon correlation spectroscopy, discussions of the experimental aspects of laser light scattering with methods of data analysis, and applications to polymer characterizations. Particular attention is given to photon-counting and photon-correlation techniques using optical setups with a single illuminating laser beam.
