Volume 37 compliments and expands on the material presented in Volume 34, also authored by Igor Zhimulev of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Novosibirsk, Russia. In this volume, Dr. Zhimulev presents an in-depth and detailed account of the various aspects of heterochromatin organiation in the mitotic and interphase polytene chromosomes, including an extensive analysis of the organization of heterochromatin at high resolution.
