This is the third edition of the guide to more than 200 key reports and legislation published on health and social care subjects since 1986. It is divided into ten chapters under the following subject headings: general issues; primary and community care; public health; quality, accountability and patient rights; education; older people; children; midwifery; mental health; and learning disabilities. The documents are arranged in chronological order and each is referenced with an abstract. It is principally aimed at students embarking on health, medical and social care careers. It also includes a section on applying for jobs with advice on writing CVs, interview techniques and career development; a list of national organizations; and useful websites.
