Sinopsis
The author of this book argues that we all have the ability to draw and this book teaches how, through technique and observation, we can utilize our innate creativity to reproduce what we see as a drawing. The systems of drawing such as perspective, measuring methods, using line, mark and tone and depicting movement are covered so that the student can work in precise, relaistic and creative styles. A treasury of the finest drawings through history is used to inform as well as inspire and show the reader how to understand and judge a fine drawing. The four elements of drawing - active seeing, the visual field, the language of drawing and recording what is seen are studied separately and in detail. At the end of each section progress is tested by the use of games.
