This book contains a general introduction to DOS/VSE internals and assembler language programming techniques using DOS/VSE. The material is designed to aid performance analysis problem diagnosis and software programming. The book explains the control blocks of VSE, describes how the control blocks interrelate to each other, and presents simple demonstrations of control block relationships using real data. The example programs presented in this text are complete, working and tested programs that can be used by most DOS/VSE installations. Each program accesses many of the control blocks discussed within that chapter.
