This third edition includes works by 20th-century thinkers, such as Richard Rorty, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Simone deBeauvoir, and Joyce Tribilcot; coverage of Eastern philosopy, notably the philosophy of Radhakrishnan; and readings by feminist philosophers, such as Carol Gilligan and Annette Baier. The text provides information on each philosopher's biographical background.
