“'The Tale of the Incomparable Prince' disarms modern readers with plenty of romance, lust, intrigue and [and] timeless psychological insight…[Kumaradvitiya’s] adventures lure us with their sophisticated prose and powerful verse. Westerners with an interest in Buddhism will find it fascinating to read a novel that incorporates this religious worldview. But anyone with an interest in literature will recognise 'The Tale of the Incomparable Prince ' as a classic story.”
NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW
“[Beth Newman] has reclaimed an exotic gem of world literature with this sparkling translation of a Tibetan novel.”
