Based on a fifteen-century text, it is the revered heart of Tibetan practice, presented in easy-to-understand steps by the Dalai Lama, Tibet's exiled spiritual and political leader. The Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and is the author of two memoirs and several books on Buddhism.

The Library of Tibet was founded in order to preserve and disseminate the cultural heritage of Tibet, now under threat of extinction. The volumes of the Library will cover Tibetan history and culture, from meditation practices to social history. Volume Editor Donald S.
