It offered short courses in problems of advanced management. Its curriculum was designed by its first principal, Sir Noel Frederick Hall (1902 1983), an economist and academic who was one of Britain's earliest post-war specialists in business theory and education, whose signature is one of many included in this provenance. Other signatures include Sir Duncan Oppenheim, Hugh Chance, Charles Ellis, L. S. Sutherland, Howard Roberts, and J. Bowman.
