Churchill, Heinemann, 1967, First Edition First Impressions The Companion Volumes are to be read in parallel with the eight Main Volumes of the life of Winston S. Churchill. Parts 1 and 2 of this Companion Volume contain all the documents relevant to the Main Volume 1 - Youth 1874 - 1900. Companion Volume 1 Part 1 1874 - 1896 In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean except for marks to the top and bottom edges of the back board and the lettering on the spine bright. There is shelf wear to the top edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The top edge fully retains its original red tint. The titling to the boards has been added upside down without any detriment with the cover. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear removable cover is in near fine condition with faint marks to the back cover and very slight shelf wear to the bottom edge of the spine. Companion Volume 1 Part 2 1896 - 1900 In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean except for some white marks along the top edges of the front and back boards. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The top edge fully retains its original red tint. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with generally some faint handling marks.
