Smids, Ludwig. Schatkamer der Nederlandsse Oudheden; of Woordenboek, Behelsende Nederlands…Vercierd mer LX Verbeeldinge…T Amsterdam by Pieter de Coup…1711. Octavo [20], 402, [22] pages, with Drukfouten list at end. All sixty full-page engravings are inserted, attached to stubs. Engraved title, title in red and black. Castles, cathedrals, ruins throughout the Netherlands, with description and text. The book has been in a fire, and has smoke marks at the edges of some pages. It retains an odor of smoke, The 60 full-page plates are largely unaffected. Two of the plates have water-damage invading the image. (The photo for some reason would not upload. E-mail me to see it.) The spine was badly damaged in the fire-event, and has been replaced by a plain paper spine. Original boards, lightly scorched. Not a great copy, but a complete copy internally acceptable. The 60 plates are exquisite. N° de ref. del artículo ABE-1607130865491
