In the publisher's original cloth with the spines repaire and joints strengthened, the original cloth spines laid on to new cloth. Hardcover. Very Good. 3 volumes: Volume 1 - The Valleys of the Itchen and Test, pagination - x + 292pp. Volume 2 - The Northern, Eastern and Southern Slopes and the New Forest, pagination - vi + 332pp. Volume 3 - Isle of Wight and Channel Islands, pagination - viii + 226pp + 98pp. New title page for Channel Islands. Three engraved title pages, frontispiece to each volume (frontispiece are included in the List of plates in each volume bound out of order at the front as called for). 138 plates and various maps, 3 folding maps (Hampshire, Isle of Wight and a small map of Jersey Guernsey), odd spotting in text, tears to the maps (see below), new endpapers, re-backed spine (new cloth spine with the old spine laid on / attached to the new cloth) bound in the original dark green cloth. Worming to volume 2. Whilst confined to a narrow area it impacts many pages, almost three quarters of the volume (see photos). Size: Quarto. Condition Report Externally Spine - good condition - repaired and strengthern, original spine stuck to new cloth, gilt titles, worn. Joints - good condition - repaired Corners - good condition - bumped and worn. Boards - good condition - blind stamped original green cloth binding. Page edges - good condition - tanned page edges spines and parts of cloth faded see above and photos Internally tears to the maps where they join the text block wormed to ¾ of volume 2 impacting the inner margin but narrowly missing the engravings, possibly impacting a small amount of text Tissue guards present but damaged or missing a few foxing to the plates and end papers see above and photos Publisher: see above.
