First edition, first printing, one of 200 copies. This copy has the ink stamp of the avant-garde Nomad Magazine on the verso of the front wrapper, "Nomad Box 626, Culver City, Calif." Nomad was an early publisher of Bukowski and are listed in the acknowledgements of Flower, Fist and Bestial Wail. Bukowski was a product of the small press and "little magazines" were instrumental in disseminating his poetry. The inaugural issue of Nomad, published in 1959, featured two poems by Bukowski, and his poem "So Much for the Knifers, So Much for the Bellowing Dawns" was used as a prologue to Nomad's "Manifesto" issue, which also featured his essay "Manifesto: A Call for Our Own Critics". Dorbin A1; Hearse Press Chapbooks 5. Octavo. Original wire-stitched white wrappers, front cover lettered in red with illustration of a fist gripping a flower in front of a wailing mouth by Ben Tibbs. Edges toned, a few faint marks to wrappers: a fine copy. Nº de ref. del artículo: 173934
