Original half calf marbled paper boards, some rubbing to edges and tail of spine worn down a little, corners rounded a little. All printed on hand-made rag paper, the 3 plates are a little foxed, text excellent. Claude Louis Richard by Baron Cuvier and a part-series of lectures by him on Natural Sciences 4-9 + Celestial Phenomena, Geology, Zoology, Anthropology, Geography, New Species found in the British Isles, Arts, Statistics on Religious Tolerance in Russia, Vegetable Milk from the Hya-Hya Tree of Demerara, Travel Norway, Greenland, Africa, Russia, India, etc. + Meteorology, Hydrography, Chemistry, etc, etc,.The Clavering expedition and was published after the authors death in Africa at his express wishes and published first time here by a friend James Smith.
