In 1950 when Norman Lewis wrote his book of travels in South East Asia, the three countries of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos were nations in transition. Some of the tribes of Central and Southern Vietnam were only pacified some fifteen years previously, and the people of the whole area in a coalition of nationalists and communists were fighting to free themselves from French colonialism. With a colour frontispiece, a multi-panel folding colour map and twenty-seven black and white photographs. A very good copy in quite poor dust wrapper: nicked, chipped, chafed and torn, and clipped and re-priced by the publisher.
