D'Andrea bronze tablet of Townsend Harris, title-page printed in orange and black, with device. xix, 616 pp., including appendixes & index; 16 black & white illustrations, some reproducing, drawings, letters, etc. This binding by The French Binders Garden City, N. Y. (with their stamp), featured a dark green morocco leather spine, sides & corner-pieces, with five raised bands on the spine, gilt-lettered titling in compartments, and green cloth, green and gold endpapers, top-edge gilt. The leather spine and parts of the sides have faded, some tan spotting to the prelims., frontispiece, title-page to p. vii. With the bookplate of Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, William G.
