Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Dark red cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine and gold emblem on front cover. Some light smudging and staining on covers. Cloth over spine is loosened but text block is sturdy and pretty tight. Fore-edge has some mild toning. Title page dated 1949. Copyright page dated 1949. 835 pages. Pages are clean and generally bright with some occasional spotting and toning. Rear free endpaper is creased in top corner and has small chip along fore-edge. Numerous portraits, illustrations, and maps (some fold-out) throughout the book. Overall a nice copy.
