AGATHA CHRISTIE - THEY CAME TO BAGHDAD, published by Collins, copyright 1945, FIRST PRINTING (says "Copyright -- Printed in Great Britain -- 1951" on copyright page with no references to subsequent printings, lists to "A Murder is Announced" on list of Christie books to left of title page, redish orange boards with black lettering on spine, 2nd/later state DJ with review of "Cat Among The Pigeons" on rear panel, 7s 6d net price on DJ front flap. Book has a couple of creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used book store marks/stamps/stickers inside, clean endpapers - no tape staining or markings, no foxing to pages or endpapers, slight age darkening/dust soiling/foxing to outer page edges, no spine lean, tight white pages with sharp corners, no wear to board edges, barest hint of wear to board corners, wear to spine tips, slight spine sun fading, faint spot on spine otherwise almost no soiling or stains, no wear/loss to black spine lettering. Dust jacket has no chipping, tearing, or creasing, almost no wear to spine tips - 'v' losses to couple of spine tip corners, no wear to front flap crease (just at flap crease corners), slight spine sun darkening, very slight dust soiling (common with this all-white DJ) otherwise no soiling or staining to panels, hint of edge wear. Overall a VG+ book in FINE- condition dust jacket (not price clipped) of a rare early 1950s era UK Agatha Christie 1st printing with original later state dust jacket.
