SIGNED by artist John Austen and hand-numbered 665 out of 1500 Both volumes of this book is are in excellent gently-used condition. There are no attached bookplates or embossed seals. Sharp corners, no obvious scuffs or rubs. This was a time when readers had to cut their pages apart on the side before turning the page. That is why the pages are smooth on top and bottom but uneven/jagged on the right. The accompanying slipcase is in brand new condition. I had it professionally made to look identical to the original and the label from the original was used. Unfortunately, the cost of this custom-made new slipcase makes our listing higher than average for this title. However, it is far sturdier than any original slipcase too. The only cosmetically unappealing part of this set are the original paper dust jackets. They do remain functional for protecting the books from sun-exposure though. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing, and feel free to ask questions if the photos provided do not suffice. Please also do not hesitate to request additional photos if needed. Returns are only allowed due to shipping damage or item not being as described. Due to USPS insurance claims procedures, partial refunds are not allowed due to shipping damage.
