1773 COPPER ENGRAVING ANTIQUE BOOKPLATE PRINT . A striking landscape was created around the ruins of the Cistercian Fountains Abbey and Fountains Hall Castle, in Yorkshire. The 18th-century landscaping, gardens and canal, the 19th-century plantations and vistas, and the neo-Gothic castle of Studley Royal Park, make this an outstanding site. The Moon Pond, with its flanking crescent basins, provides the setting for three lead statues - Bacchus, Galen and Neptune. Other features of the Garden include the Serpentine Tunnel, the Rustic Bridge, Grotto, Half Moon Pond, cascades, canal, Fishing Tabernacles, Drum Fall and the Seven Bridges Valley in the Deer Park.
