PRINTED BY SPRAGUE & CO., 23 MARTINS LANE, CANNOS ST. E.C. PRINT IS DATED IN THE MARGIN AREA NOTE: THE TITLE AREA THAT READS "SKETCHED ON THE SPOT BY A. H. HAIG" IS PARTIALLY CROPPED, SEE PICTURE ABOVE. Originates from an architectural & engineering art journal "The Building News" or "The Architect" circa 1870s. The journal contained many plates showing architectural drawings & details of buildings like churches, government buildings, castles, furniture & interiors; plans & elevations of award winning designs. Some of the designs were presentation drawings that may not have been the final draft. A Great View of the Past! - Historical Collection Piece! Approximate Image Size: 7 X 9 inches Approximate Overall Size: 8 X 12 1/2 inches CONDITION: Browned from age with soiling with a tear/rip at the top margin area (about 1/2 inch) and a crease that goes right across the top of the picture, othwerwise still in GOOD CONDITION for it's age. Blank on Reverse side. This beautiful architecture print would look great matted and framed. An art supply store can provide you with a selection of frames for old art treasures.
