Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, San Diego; New York, 1990. Hardcover. Limited First edition. Number 126 of 250. Unnumbered pages. Dark yellow or mustard colored cloth with maroon lettering on the front cover and spine. Book is housed in a maroon cloth slipcase. Beautiful dedication page. Frontispiece. Illustrated title-page. Limitation page numbered and Signed by Jane Yolen(author) and Barry Moser(illustrator). Story about the Blackfeet Indians and of the first time they saw horses. Near Fine book in a Very Good Slipcase. Mustard yellow cloth boards with maroon lettering on the front and spine housed in a maroon cloth slipcase. The covers look great. No edge wear. Imperfections: There is a small spot under the 'S' in Sky on the front cover(zoom on the photo). The spine color is a little faded and some of the letters on the spine have a little loss of color. The orange end papers are really warm and perfect-looking. The illustrations are unusual and beautiful. The bright white pages spotless. No writing anywhere. No marks, dare i say perfect. The slip case has very little, if any, edge wear. However, as the photo shows there are a few areas where the color has clearly faded and a few areas of minor soiling. The photos should give you a clear picture.¿ "Splendid, sweeping watercolors and a poetic story that draws on both historical and legendary materials combine to remind us of the dignity, grace, and wonder of life on the American plains - long ago, but unforgettable." Her Awards include 1987 Special World Fantasy Award (for Favorite Folktales From Around the World) 1992 The Catholic Library Association's Regina Medal (for her body of children's literature) 1999 Nebula Award for Novelette (for "Lost Girls") 2009 World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement at the 2010 World Fantasy Convention. Descripción de la librería

Many of the books I will be selling can accurately be described as ranging from somewhat rare to very rare. In some cases there won't be another copy for sale anywhere on the Internet. There doesn't seem much point, for you or me, in offering something that so many others are already offering. Subject matter will range very widely, creating the possibility for people with very different interests to find something that excites them. As regards pricing, my primary goal is to sell the book. Most often I would expect my book to be the least expensive option on the Internet taking into account an appropriate comparison(what is the condition, is the dust jacket present, is the book signed, is it a first printing, etc.). More important than selling the book I want to make sure that you know, as much as is possible, exactly what you are getting. To that end, you'll notice that my descriptions of condition tend to be lengthy, and that there will always be photographs to help you draw your own conclusions. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about a given book. As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. If the book is on the thin side there is a possibility that I can securely pack it up under 2 pounds in weight. If so, the shipping price will drop between $9 to $11. I think, for example, Europe drops to $24.00 and Canada to $15.00. You can contact me before purchasing a book for an estimate on the shipping cost. If you buy the book and it weighs in below 2 pounds you'll get a Reduced Shipping message and amount with the invoice and you'll see the lowered final cost before you make your payment. For international shipping I charge you what I am charged.
