8vo (6 1/4 x 9 in - 16.3 x 23.3 cm), leather spine and 1 inch onto marbled boards, leather tipped edges, gilt lettering on the spine, German language, no halftitle or title page, 24 bi-monthly issues, issues 412, Part I (April 1890) through Issue 435, Part II (March 1891), pages 1~364. An important technical photographic journal of the time published under the supervision of Hermann Wilhelm Vogel (1834 - 1898), one of the most important photographic chemists of the 19th century. Several text illustrations including cameras and related apparatus and devices. Contains numerous illustrations including actual photographs (all tipped to plate), photogravures, photo-lithographs and half-tones. Major plates are:"Oberstlieutenant Hedinger" photograph, "Ulan" two plates - not photographs however, "Strandascene aus Aalbeck" photograph, "Halle in der Universitat Marburg" photograph, "Vindobona" photograph, "Inneres einer oberbaierischen Kapelle" photograph and "Portraitstudie" photograph. ~ Condition.
