About the Author: Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and an M. A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Studies. She has a Ph. D. in Educational Psychology and is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Illinois. Her life's work has been to pioneer the revival of traditional Islamic psychology which is based in ethics. She is author of over twenty books including Moral Healer's Handbook: The Psychology of Spiritual Chivalry, Moral Healing Through the Most Beautiful Names: The Practice of Spiritual Chivalry and al-Ghazzali: His Psychology of the Greater Struggle.
