An extremely useful book giving brief narratives of actions, quotations from official despatches and documents [referenced in the margins] and lists of those distinguished in certain actions, including not only British officers but also Indian officers.here are appendices in tabiular form [showing where, when and by whom regiments and batteries were formed, lists of commandants, etc An unusual and scarce title which brings together information not always easy to find in one place.
