About the Author:

MONA L. SCOTT, School Library Media Specialist, North Stafford High School, Stafford, Virginia and former Head of Technical Services, SANAD, Inc.

From Library Journal:

Scott has expanded the 1993 edition of this cataloging tool to include a third volume for LC subject headings. Volume 1 consists of the LC-Dewey conversion table, Volume 2, the Dewey-LC conversion table, and Volume 3, subject headings. Each of the volumes contains the same lists of classification in LC and Dewey plus the corresponding subject headings but in different arrangements. The volumes are based on the 21st edition of the Dewey Decimal Classification, the most current editions of the various volumes of the Library of Congress classification schedules, the 1996 edition of LCSH, and the 1994 edition of Library of Congress Free-Floating Subdivisions. This cataloging tool could be helpful in conversion projects, call number assigning, and teaching the basics of cataloging. The set is also available in a disk version, which includes search software. Recommended for catalogers, library and information science instructors, and students.-Susan Ketcham, Long Island Univ.
