Añadir al carritoCondición: Reading copy only. Scarce limited edition Sherlockian pastiche, "The Affair of the Mary Queen of Scots Jewel," originally presented at the 12mo Club. A curious copy of this rare '20s Sherlockian publication, as the provenance markings have been deliberately defaced: the bookplate owner name is no longer legible, and the endpaper where an inscription once lived has also been cut out. A Sherlockian provenance mystery! 7.75'' x 4.75''. Original quarter parchment, gilt-stamped brown paper boards. Limited to 200 copies, this number 15. viii, 32 pages. Though no provenance markings, this copy from the library of noted Sherlockian, BSI member since 1973, and retired US magistrate judge Andrew Peck. Bookplate on front pastedown, largely effaced; front free endpaper removed, with some evidence of a former inscription there. Wear and some sunning to boards.

Añadir al carritoFinal script for the 1974 film. Final script, dated February 5, 1974. An intense, violent film exploring racial tension in the Deep South (Alabama), with enough shock and awe to evenly divides its fans and detractors. Written by Samuel Fuller (who recalls, "I put everything [he] had into that one!"), a script John Cassavetes said was one of the best he'd read. But after heavy rewrites by a studio hand, the story was perceived as being outdated and consequently exploitative. Fuller finally remarked that they (Paramount) "turned my original work into a disastrous piece of bullshit," and left his name on it, against his objections. Final Script has blue titled wrappers, rubber stamped copy No, 81. Title page present, dated February 5, 1974, noted as FINAL SCRIPT, with credits for screenwriter Kaufman and novelist Huie. 131 leaves, lacking pages 69 and 70 (as used), lithograph duplication. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus bound with two gold brads. Fuller, A Third Face (2002), p. 472.
