One cover partially detached, vertical fold on both. text blocks GOOD clean and crisp with no marks, corners chipped. ##### Henry Stevens emigrated from his native Vermont to London and became a legendary bookseller. He supplied the great libraries and collectors of the world with Americana and other remarkable rare books. One of the indispensable reference works in the field is his 1926 catalog Rare Americana, A Catalogue of Historical and Geographical Books, Pamphlets, and Manuscripts Relating to America . These two catalogs published in February and March, 1885 are the first catalogs issued by the firm after Stevens was joined by his son. These catalogs cover all areas of Americana, including the American Revolution, Canada, Benjamin Franklin, the French and Indian War, Geography and Cosmography, History, Indians, Mexico, New England, New York, Pennsylvania, South America, Southern States, Voyages and Travels, and the Far West, etc. Average size 5.5x8.5 , 24-36 pp. each.
