Holiday was an American travel magazine published from 1946 to 1977, whose circulation grew to more than one million subscribers at its height. This copy of Holiday, Vol. 37, No. 5, May, 1965 was published by the Curtis Publishing Company of Philadelphia. The magazine, which measures approximately 10 ½ inches wide by 13 ½ inches tall, contains 170 pages of text, illustrations, and advertisements relating to world travel. The magazine, which is staple bound, is enclosed in paper covers. The pages of the magazine are in near fine condition, with occasional dog-earing or bending at the corners. The cover has tearing along the spine and bending at the outside corners. The combined condition of the magazine and its cover is very good. The magazine?s table of Contents not only lists the articles and other features in this issue, but provides mini-biographies for the artist who drew the cover and the authors who wrote the articles. The cover art work is by Beni Montresor, a prize winning illustrator and stage designer. Montresor had also supplied five beautiful colored drawings to illustrate the magazine?s article on ?Two Views of Rome? by Aubrey Menen. Other articles in this issue by prominent authors include John O?Hara?s ?Memoirs of a Sentimental Duffer? and Jack Kerouac?s ?On the Road with Memère?. The illustrations accompanying this description show the Front Cover, the Table of Contents, and three (3) 2-page spreads of the opening pages of articles. N° de ref. del artículo 001609
