Education of British Culture According to the Project Method: Using Project Method in the Hungarian Primary Schools - Tapa blanda

Culture lives around us. However, children of today know only those cultural things that surround directly them. They could acquire easily the cultural elements of the world with the help of the project method. This book introduces this way that teachers can use in education in primary schools. The book talks about the determination of the National Core Curriculum about education of English as a Foreign Language in Hungary, the origin, the characteristics, and the definition of the project method. It discloses the pursuit, the types, the advantages and disadvantages of the project process together with it presents the connection of the teacher, the students and the method. It flashes the importance of the culture - it defines the culture from various points of view - and presents the experiences of the author. In the last chapter, the readers can get ideas how to use and build a project up and they can see some important and interesting items of the theme in photographs in the supplement.

Danczákné Gordos Annamária graduated in Primary School Teacher Specialisation in a Foreign Language English at Pázmány Péter Catholic University Vitéz János Faculty, in 2008. She learnt at University of Glasgow where she became acquainted with project method, in 2007. She successfully used this method during her works.
