Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET) find wide spread applications in commercial, military & private sectors. However, applications depends on underlying protocols, topology, Cross layer design adopted & fundamental issues such as Connectivity, Bandwidth, Link stability and Multi-path Routing. Dynamic topology adds further dimensions of applications as well as challenges. This book explains applications of graph theory concepts such as Random Graphs, Connectivity Index, Steiner Trees, Spanning Tress to model the MANET, analyze the topology and to design cross layer multicast protocols.The Book presents the investigation of said fundamental issues and network partition detection in MANET multicast. The research work explained in this book has introduced new class of MANET called K-Connected MANET which offers high reliability in terms of disjoint multiple multicast paths which provides route failure tolerance. it also presents integration of MPEG-21 frame work with cross layer multicast architecture.
