His flight career spanned some 61 years flying 41 different planes and logging over 25,000 hours. Wil went from fighter pilot to Federal Express employee #65, entering the business after he was sought out by Air Force Brigadier General Fred Hook Jr. and Fred Smith, the founder of FedEX.
