Winter Wings is a story about a man and his horse. Jeb Morrison is what most men would want to be. He was strong in will power and true to his morals. His horse Winter had been given to him by an Indian chief and Jeb had raised him from a colt. They were constant companions and worked together as Jeb would ride 'Indian style' and draw and shoot his gun with great actuality. One day Jeb was riding through a valley when he came upon a girl Dove, in trouble. After he comes to her rescue he learns of the trouble at her ranch. Jeb decided to stay and help them with their troubles Go with Jeb, Dove and her brother Kin as they take back their ranch from the crooked men in town and free the town folks from the tyrant that has taken control of their town. Max was born In Muskogee, Oklahoma during the time most of our great cowboys were just getting started in Movies. His imagination put him right in the middle of their adventures. Once he retired as a long-haul truck driver, Max had the time to relive some of his imaginary adventures and put them down so that others could enjoy. Not all ofMax's adventures are imaginary however, as he grew up during the time of the great depreciation that hit the United States in the late 1920's and early 1930's. His grandfather had a working ranch with real cowboys and Max worked right alongside them as a teenager. Max did not start his writing career until he was past seventy years of age. Winter Wings is his forth book to be published.
