Professor Oliff culls 15 years of performance improvement experience into a book that will motivate and inspire you to transform your own golf game. Using a proven approach, he shows you how to incorporate three keys for peak performance - purpose, focus and discipline - to improve both your play and enjoyment.
He demonstrates from personal experience how to guide and accelerate the three distinct processes of learning, personal development and performance improvement to cut handicaps in half within 12 weeks, regardless of handicap level.
This is the first book on golf ever written by an expert in performance improvement. Michael D. Oliff critiques those who focus primarily on content, quick fixes, technology or even technique rather than on the underlying principles that either accelerate or decelerate performance improvement.
He attacks the arms-length relationship between golf student and golf instructor and replaces it with an incentive-based partnership between player and coach. Providing the reader examples and a step-by-step guide, he demonstrates how to apply goal setting, coaching, training, measurement and feedback to radically improve your game.
This book begins as a truly inspirational and motivational story and then packs in a wealth of practical value as powerful improvement concepts - high performance processes, key performance indicators, and others - are explained and applied to help initiate and sustain personal improvement in the game of golf.
