Descripción First Edition (Stated). With complete number line (71 72 73 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1) on p. 212. Signed "Tony Hillerman" on the title page. Hillerman's scarce second book featuring politics, journalism, and murder in Washington, D.C. G+/G+ in blue cloth spine stamped in white and dark blue and blue paper-covered boards. Some tape marks and tape stuck to the front and rear boards. An ex-library copy with stamp only at top edge and pocket glued to rear endpaper. With 2" of pocket torn away taking some of the "suspense novel" letters from the bottom of the endpaper. The dustjacket is complete but has tape marks on the inside flap and the rear panel. A passable shelf copy of Hillerman's scarce second book, autographed by him. First Edition (Stated). With complete number line (71 72 73 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1) on p. 212.
