Full leather binding, gilt titles, raised bands, attractive gilt decorations to the boards, gilt page edges, gilt paste downs and end papers with very attractive gilt dentelles, illustrated throughout by Don Emery. Darker brown morocco onlay to the centre to the front board with gilt decoration of donkey drawn cart and 2 South American men. 36pp. Approximately 7 inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, 5 raised gilt bands, gilt flower in each compartment. Joints good condition rubbed and worn. Corners good condition minor wear. Boards good condition full red leather boards with decorative gilt borders, the upper board has gilt titles and a decorative gilt centre panel, the rear board has a gilt floral design in the top left hand corner with green leather onlays, the outer edges of the corners are also gilt. Page edges good condition all gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound. Paste downs good condition silk, decorative gilt dentelles to leather turn-ins, GAZ is printed in gilt along the bottom edge of the front paste down. End papers good condition silk with some offsetting from the dentelles, some fading to the colour, subsequent end papers lightly tanned. Title good condition lightly tanned. Pages good condition illustrated frontispiece, dedication page inscribed to Edward & Gertrude (Zabriskie s brother) following the title page, lightly tanned throughout. Binding good condition.
