A clean and crisp hardback first English-language edition without a dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt title lettering to spine. Top edge gilt. There is some minor creasing at the head of the spine (see image), and a bit of foxing to the fore and bottom edges. There is also some light foxing to the opening and closing leaves. An old price (in shillings) remains at the top of the front free endpaper. The boards are clean and sharp, the binding is sound and secure and the contents are clean, bright and complete.
