Stranger at the Gate by John Hearne, Hardcover, First English Edition (1956). Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has slight bumping to the top of the spine, a slight lean, and ageing to the page ends. The dust jacket shows general wear and ageing, including internally, with slight loss to the extremities. Nonetheless a very nice copy overall for the year. (See pictures). This is the author's second novel, following his first book 'Voices Under the Window', which was critically acclaimed and published in 1955. N° de ref. del artículo 000641
