Original green cloth binding with coloured bind stamping of flowers and letters, gilt and black lettering to both cover and spine. Embossed back board. Dark green endpapers. All foredges are gilt. Chapters include: Finland, Little schooling in the woods, Church bells, Weathercock, Dream of Yule, Gifts from the deep, Sunbeam in November, Among the Raspberries, Road to the Clouds, Imitating Robinson Crusoe, Snowball battle (frontispiece drawing with that title), Storm and sunshine.
