Volume 1, 1826; viii + index + page 7(complete) to 329,+ b/w frontispiece +illustrated regalia of Scotland +Scottish coat-of-arms illustration +74 illustrated coat-of-arms (No 1 -74) on 37 pages (+ duplicate pages of 4 Scottish coat-of-arms by binders mistake). Title page dated 1826, end page printers name and dated 1824. Volume 2, 1829; Frontispiece + title page + ii (index) +407 +Errata page with printers name and dated 1826 + 40 illustrated coat-of-arms (No 95 -134) on 20 pages + 7 pages of numerous illustrations including 1 coat-of-arms. Full maroon leather binding , spine with 5 blind-ruled bands, with gilt embossed title. Both in very good condition with sunning to spines. Contents good, clean & tight, rough cut pages, some minor ageing, only inscription noticed was some ink notes to rear end page of Vol. II, corner of page 209 missing (no loss of text). Both volumes have 2 bookplates each, one decorative of the Ker family crest & moto and the card of Major General Thomas Darling Ker ( he was late Bombay Army, the surname of Ker or Car is of great antiquity in Scotland), marbled endpages, possibly rebound, but over 100 years ago. So binder has put 4 duplicate coats of arms in, and seems 20 illustrated coat-of-arms are missing, but seems to have pages not listed in the only other 2 book found on the net. Volume one printed in 1824 by John Muir, published by Alex. Macredie, Peter Brown, and William Hunter, Edinburgh and James Duncan, London in 1826, Vol. two printed by John Muir in 1826 and published by James Robertson of Edinburgh in 1829.
