Blue cloth on boards with moderate bumping to extremities and small areas of sun fading to cloth, at top and bottom of spine. Light spotting to end papers. Otherwise clean and tidy throughout. The dust jacket is price clipped, with rubbing to edges and small losses at top and bottom of spine. An interesting account of life within the Russian prison and labour camp systems for the author, who had been arrested in 1950 for 'illegal entry into the Russian Zone of Germany', and his experiences in Russia up until his release by means of 'prisoner exchange' four years later.
