Small 4to, pp xix, [1], 117, [3], extra wood-engraved title page, text woodengravings throughout, original sage green blindstamped cloth, a little faded and chaffed and with with short splits at spine ends, but a very good clean sound copy, FIRST EDITION; dedicated by Woodcroft to Albert, the Prince Consort, this typographical triumph of Charles Whittingham, including 78 text wood-engravings of early machinery, commemorates the technical and engineering triumphs of the Great Exhibition held in the year of publication.
