Internally very clean, with no evidence of underlining, staining, tears, etc. Evidently only lightly read. Clearly written for a Western readership, the author presents recipes from the Middle East "adapted to American tastes and methods of preparation." Included are recipes from the cuisines of Armenians, Bulgarians, Caucasians, Egyptians, Greeks, Jews, Persians, Syrians, Turks and others. Sections of the book include pilafs, fish, macaroni, meats, vegetables, salads, preserves, and more.
