Cloth. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1955 (1955) 2nd printing. 206pp. Very Good/Good. Blue cloth boards with minor rubbing to edges/spine, minor soiling/patchy fading. Contents clean and tight but for very minor browning/soiling. DW with a little soiling/browning, spine darkened, a little rubbing/chipping to edges/spine. Following WWI, T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) felt the need to disappear from public view, so in 1922 he enlisted in the RAF under the name of John Hulme Ross, as oridinary aircraftman 352087 A/c Ross. The book is an autobiographical account of his experiences in the RAF. The title of the book likens the RAF training to a coin factory and the book is critical of the treatment recruits were subject to. The book was generally issued posthumously in 1955. It was subject to some censorship due to the earthy language used and was amended prior to issue. Nº de ref. del artículo: 007531
