There are 24 letters, the first of which deals with the prosecution of John Cleave (bookseller) for blasphemy for selling Haslam's "Letters to the Clergy of All Denominations." Henry Hetherington's trial is also considered in the 15th letter. Much of the rest of the volume comprises attacks of the Bible and CHristian belief in the Painite tradition. Original half morocco - attractively bound by E. Paul of Southampton. The book was published by the author in Salford and sold by the celebrated republican booksellers Abel Heywood (Manchester) and Henry Hetherington and James Watson (London). Marbled boards.
