Two volumes, uniformly bound in grey paper over boards with gilt lettering on upper boards and spines, in matching paper covered slipcase (without any gilt) Spines and front edges of slipcase slightly sunned, and ownership book mark on front pastedown of each volume. Volume I, 1875-1876 (ISBN: 0-7748-0276-6), 296 pages plus 16 pages of B&W illustrations from photos. Volume II, 1877-1878 (ISBN: 0-7748-0286-3), pp. 297-611, including comprehensive index. Working for the Geological Survey of Canada, these volumes cover Dawson's exploration of the central interior west of the Fraser River, the Thompson-Shuswap region and the Fraser, Similkameen, Okanagan, and Nicola valleys of the southern interior. In 1878 he shifted to the coast, with exploration of northern Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haidi Gwaii). N° de ref. del artículo 22158
